Do I need a GP referral to see a dietitian?+
No. You can book an appointment directly without a referral. However, if you're eligible for a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, your GP can refer you, allowing you to claim a Medicare rebate for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year (shared across eligible allied health providers).
Can I claim a Medicare rebate or private health insurance?+
If you have a valid GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Private health insurance rebates depend on your level of extras cover, so we recommend checking with your health fund before your appointment.
What happens during my first appointment?+
Your first consultation is all about getting to know you. We'll discuss your medical history, lifestyle, eating habits, health goals, and any challenges you're experiencing. Together, we'll create a personalised, evidence-based plan that is practical, realistic, and tailored to you.
How much do consultations cost?+
Consultation fees depend on the length of your appointment, whether it is an initial or follow-up consultation, and whether your appointment is during standard hours, after hours, or on weekends. To find out the consultation fee, please contact your preferred clinic directly or email me, and I'll be happy to assist.
Do you work with Indian and other cultural cuisines?+
Absolutely. Having grown up in multicultural Singapore within an Indian family, I'm familiar with a wide variety of cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, Malay, and Western foods. My goal is to help you enjoy the foods you love while making realistic, sustainable changes that support your health.
How many appointments will I need?+
Every person's journey is different. While some people may only need one or two consultations, I generally recommend at least three appointments to build sustainable habits, review your progress, and adjust your plan as needed. Ongoing follow-up is always tailored to your individual goals.
Do you offer telehealth consultations?+
Yes. You can book a telehealth consultation through my Healthbank profile, and all of the GP clinics I consult from also offer telehealth appointments. However, if you're seeking support with weight management, I recommend attending your first appointment in person where possible so I can complete a baseline body composition assessment using a professional body composition analyser. This allows us to accurately monitor your progress throughout your journey.
What should I bring to my appointment?+
If you have one, please bring your GP referral, any recent blood test results or relevant medical reports, a list of your current medications or supplements, and any questions you'd like to discuss. You're also welcome to bring a food diary if you've been keeping one, but it's not essential.
What is your cancellation policy?+
All clinics have a cancellation policy; however, the required notice period and any cancellation fees vary. To avoid a cancellation fee, please contact your clinic as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, and check their individual cancellation policy when booking.
How do I book an appointment?+
You can book an appointment by contacting your preferred clinic directly or by visiting the Clinics section of this website to find the clinic that's most convenient for you.
